What to DO during retrograde

During retrograde periods it is best to look inwards, check your emotions and desires. Attempt to just observe, but without taking any actions.

If you're in a relationship and looking to make the next step, check for red flags or any misread signals. Evaluate your current state of emotions and attempt to look yourself from a distance. The same applies if you're not in a relationship, but looking to start a new one. Change of heart is ok, just don't act on it yet (not during Venus retrograde).
It's a good time to deal with any unfinished business — previous relationships or past love. You may even be approached by a previous partner.
Review all of your investments, and re-think all of your financial plans, including future endeavors in this aspect.
Attempt to unload what you've purchased during previous Venus retrogrades — clothes, gadgets, artifacts, luxury items, art, etc.
Be willing to wait until Venus retrograde is over to help ensure that your decisions are successful in such important matters of life such as beauty, love life and finances.
